undergrad. I had started working in the costume shop to make a little pocket change since I knew how to sew. It didn?t take me long to realize that costume design was the best of all worlds. I was able to combine my love for art history, fashion design, sewing, literature, human psy-chology, fabric, and color into one incredible art form.

The following renderings and pictures are from two of my favorite productions I have been involved with.

The first is a contemporary version of “Hair,” which to this day is my most memorable theatre experience. It was creative, inspiring, shocking, and visually stunning to look at. All the elements, scenery, lighting, sound, and costumes blended in that perfectly jarring yet complementary way to create the world of lower Manhattan in the late 1990's.

The second show is a production of the musical “She Loves Me.” We set this show in 1917 Budapest. I used a combination of vintage clothing and custom made clothing to create an intricately detaile
d art-nouveau world full of rich Klimt inspired colors.
